Frequently Asked Questions:

Registration:

The registration fee is $50 and comprises only the charges incurred by Hope for Women for this conference. No markup has been built in.  Registration after October 15th is $75.00.

Cancellation Policy:

Because of signed contracts with vendors, Hope for Women is contractually obligated to pay the costs associated with each registration. Therefore, it is necessary to have a cancellation policy in place to protect Hope for Women.

If you cancel more than 45 days prior to the conference, there will be NO refund.

If you cancel within those 45 days and do not transfer the registration to another party (see below for transfer information), there will be NO refunds.

Transferring Your Registration:

If you need to cancel but have a friend willing to attend in your place, you can transfer your registration for a transfer fee of $25. The notice to transfer needs to come directly from you – not your friend – and must be in writing either via email or US mail.

What to Wear:

  • Comfortable business casual attire

  • We recommend bringing a light sweater, as some meeting rooms may be cold, and we want you to be comfortable

  • We also recommend comfortable shoes, but given that we are all women, we expect to see some uncomfortable but stylin’ shoes

Childcare is NOT Provided:

This conference is for adult women, and no childcare will be provided. Additionally, children are not allowed to attend any of the conference sessions or events. Should you need to bring your children with you to the conference, please make sure you also bring another person who will be responsible for caring for your children while you are participating in the conference activities.

Special Needs:

Please let us know if you have any special physical needs so that we may accommodate you to the best of our ability. (This does not include special dietary needs, as they will be noted on your registration form.)

Networking Opportunities:

You will be spending about 24 hours with your peers – women with similar dreams and goals. To make it easy to connect and to keep in touch after the conference, we recommend having several cards printed up with all of your contact information (email address, Facebook and Twitter, any blog links, etc.). Lifelong friendships and support systems are often formed at this type of conference.
